"We were doing a bit of line running and I stepped in a hole out the back and I thought surely it can be too bad,

"I was a bit shocked, (it was) the first session (of the offseason) in the first half an hour.
"I tried to go again and couldn run so I put it in ice and had the Xray that night and they said it was broken."
A star performer for the Titans in the Toyota Cup, the Marymount College graduate will finally get his opportunity in the Queensland Cup and he will be doing everything to ensure he stays there.
And the dream of returning to the NRL had not been lost on Dowling one of several new faces for the Bears alongside Josh White, Liam McDonald, Brad Cross, Southport Tigers hero Chris Hodges and Titans signing Joe Vickery,

Excited by his return to Pizzey Park,

"I was meant to play when I was 17 but Parfo came back from injury (so) I missed out," he recalled.
"My main goal is to cement a spot in the Queensland Cup and see how it goes and try and work my way back up to an affiliation with the Titans."
"I have to keep playing well and try and stay there (at fullback) but Parfo a great player and it will be hard to keep him out."
Confident Dowling would step up against the Sea Eagles tomorrow, Bramley said it was tough for him to get back.
"Jamie missed a lot of what we were doing early in the preseason but I was consistently looking out the window of the club and seeing his car over at the gym,
