Why the evolution worldview is a religion
Production, creation   always done by some form of intelligence, mbt baratas, happens in laboratories everywhere. Scientists make things happen as opposed to sit there all day hoping something will happen.
Creationism is thinking scientifically. Yeah, we recognize that it takes a scientist to make things happen, not that they just happen.
The evolutionist   They are not going to give up on the evolutionary idea because they really really want to believe it
absence of fossil evidence for intermediary stages between major transitions in organic design, indeed our inability, mbt zapatos, even in our imagination, to construct functional intermediates in many cases, has been a persistent and nagging problem for gradualist accounts of evolution. [Emphasis added]
Gould, Stephen J., a new and general theory of evolution emerging? Paleobiology, Vol. 6(1), January 1980, p. 127.
extreme rarity of transitional forms in the fossil record persists as the trade secret of paleontology. The evolutionary trees that adorn our textbooks have data only at the tips and nodes of their branches; the rest is inference, however reasonable, not the evidence of fossils. In any local area, mbt, a species does not arise gradually by the gradual transformation of its ancestors: it appears all at once and formed. But did he believe that transitional forms are lacking? Note that in the quote originally presented, the claim is made that they are rare, not absent. Also, as anyone who is familiar with Gould's writings will know, the text quoted reflects his recognition that, while there is a scarcity of transitional fossils between species, mbt zapatos, there is no such lack of transitional fossils between major groups."
One wonders if, should it seem to support thinking their faith is fact, creationists would proudly assert that 2+2=5.
All of these dishonest quotes, notably the one re used over and over from the review of the Sagan article by Lewontin and these from Gould, have been corrected over an over. The repeated lie may seem more effective. Is this Christian Worlview examine just finding them for the first time or just repeating them for effect.
The Christian worldview, it would seem, is the denial of reason and abnegnation of the duty to think. 5:21 "Prove All Things; Hold Fast to That Which is Good". proven.
If his god were real this article would count against him on judgement day. Of course the catch 22 is that 1 Thes. 5:21 says to prove all things   no god can be proven to exist   faith is required, so the bible tells us not to believe!
(AP/Fox News   9/19/08) "One thing is sure. Evolution is not incompatible with faith. Creationism from a strictly theological view makes sense, but when it is used in scientific fields it becomes useless," said Monsignor Gianfranco Ravasi. Quoting the late Pope John, "evolution can no longer be considered a hypothesis." Pope Benedict XVI warned last week against fundamentalists' literal interpretations of the Bible. The pontiff said that the structure of the Bible "excludes by its nature everything that today is known as fundamentalism. In effect, the word of God can never simply be equated with the letter of the text."
You should understand that a Religion, mbt outlet, as recognized by sociology, mbt outlet, anthropology, mbt, psychology and elsewhere is a cultural phenomena that relies upon at least a system of belief which incorporates
1 A reality beyond the immediately verifiable
(Heaven, Nirvana, Olympus, Mictlan etc)
2 A recognition of profane or sacred concepts/objects/etc
(Communion wafer, Cow flesh, Consecrated oil, Peyote, etc)4 Appropriate methods of behavior and worship
(Sacrament, Praying toward Mecca, humility, piety, etc)
These are the bare bone requirements for something to be considered a religion. Other big markers are transitional (luminal) periods, sexually enforced disparities, symbolic language, codes of dress and a few (dozen) others as well.
The theory of evolution (regardless of your belief as to its validity) fails to meet any of these requirements, though Creationism hits quite a few. (
They know very well that evolution isn't a religion and they also know very well that creationism isn't science. They also know science always beats religion when it comes to explaining the reality we live in. Since they can not live w/o their superstitions , their tactics have been to tear down science to the level of religion and simultaneously build up religion to the level of science.
