IT WAS NOT HIS FIRST BRUSH WITH THE LAW. FOR SIX YEARS, HE TAUGHT SIX YEARS FOR SIX YEARS, HE TAUGHT MUSIC AND DOVER. HE WAS ACCUSED OF INAPPROPRIATELY TOUCHING AND 18 YEAR OLD FORMER STUDENT. HE WAS CLEARED OF THAT CHARGE. HE HAD BEEN TRYING TO HAVE IT ANNULLED. IF CONVICTED, HE WOULD HAVE FACED A SIGNIFICANT RISEN SENTENCE. NO WORD YET ON THE CAUSE OF DEATH.
A source close to the family said Daryl Robertson, 39, died on Sunday. He was facing multiple felony counts of possession of images of child sexual abuse.
Police recovered a 700 megabyte disc from a room he kept in his parents' home in February.
At Rockingham Superior Court, County Attorney Jim Reams said the case will be over after he hears from the medical examiner.
"As soon as we get official confirmation through the (medical examiner's) office,
nike air max, we will then drop the charges and take no further action. In the meantime, we'll just let the file sit," Reams said.
In February,
tiffany outlet, police and the Internet Crimes Against Children task force searched the home in Greenland where Robertson kept a room.
Acting on a tip from a postal inspector, the disc was found containing the images of the sexual abuse.
"We thought it was a pretty strong case of child pornography. The investigation gave us what we thought was some pretty good evidence, and it was just a matter of putting it all together, and we were looking forward to presenting this to a grand jury fairly soon," Reams said.
In March 2008, police charged Robertson with sex assault after he was accused of inappropriately touching an 18 year old former student at the St. Thomas Aquinas School in Dover.
